Carol Ann Callaghan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Callaghan, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Saint John Regional Hospital on July 9, 2026, at the age of 86.

Born on February 18, 1940, in Saint John, New Brunswick, Carol lived a life rooted in faith, family, friendship, and service to others.

Prior to her retirement, Carol worked at New System Dry Cleaning for 10 years and at Northern Telecom for 18 years, where she formed many lasting friendships. She took great comfort in her faith and was a devoted member of Mission Point United Pentecostal Church.

Carol had a generous heart and found great joy in helping others. She volunteered countless hours with the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre, various nursing homes, and Bibles for Missions. She loved sharing meals with family and friends, enjoying a good visit, and creating lasting memories with those she loved.

Carol was predeceased by her mother, Gladys Kinch (née Green); her husband, Maurice Callaghan; and her son, Michael Callaghan.

She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her children, Bonney Hosford (Joe), Les Callaghan (Gayle), Patrick Callaghan (Rose), and Betty-Jean Callaghan (Stan); her stepdaughter, Theresa Daviau; as well as her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends.

Carol's kindness, faith, warmth, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB E2J 2G3; (506) 646-2424, visitation for Carol will be on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM. Directly following the service, a reception will be held in the Fundy Funeral Home Reception Center; interment will take place at Cedar Hill Ext.  For those who wish, remembrances in Carol's memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or a charity of the donor's choice. To leave online condolences please visit Fundy Funeral Home
