With heavy hearts, the family of Brenda Ann Cecelia Marie Gallant announces her passing on July 22, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, on November 22, 1957, Brenda was the cherished daughter of the late Leonard and Rita (LeClare) Gallant.

Brenda will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her partner of 46 years Sidney Muxworthy; by her sons, Christopher (Lorretta) Gallant and Daniel Gallant; her brothers, James Gallant, Leonard (Shirley) Gallant, Paul (Albina) Gallant, and Patrick (Heather) Gallant; and her sister, Angela (Allen) Hachey; sister-in-law Patricia. Her special friend Loretta Gallant (Island Girl). She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and the countless friends whose lives she touched throughout the years.

Brenda dedicated 12 years of her life as a home care worker, providing compassionate care and support to many families in the Saint John area. She had a kind heart and a caring spirit that naturally drew people to her. When she wasn't working, Brenda could often be found enjoying a coffee at Tim Hortons with her brother Paul, sharing stories and laughter.

She found great joy in cross-stitching and had a special appreciation for beautiful roses. Brenda was also well known for her love of animals, especially her beloved cats, and even had a fondness for frogs. Those who knew her will likely remember her unmistakable sense of humour and unique personality, perhaps best reflected by the hearse she proudly drove, complete with the personalized licence plate reading "MORTSHA"—a detail that never failed to bring a smile to those who saw it.

Brenda will be remembered for her caring nature, her love of family, her quiet strength, and the many smiles she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Aside from her parents Brenda was predeceased by her brother Ronald Gallant.

The family would like to thank the doctor’s and nurses on 5AS and the Palliative Care Unit.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). Visitation will take place on Friday July 31, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-8 with a funeral service to be held on Saturday August 1, 2026, at 12:00pm. There will be a reception to follow at the family home of 3428 Loch Lomond Road.

For those who wish, donations in Brenda's memory may be made to a charity of the Canadian Cancer Society and the Diabetes’s Foundation.
