It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Brenda Lyn Cook at her home on November 22, 2025. She was born in Saint John, NB, on September 24, 1969, to the late James Cook and Evelyn (Godin) MacDonald.
Brenda was a quiet woman who loved to stay at home and write in her journal or write poems. She loved pets, dogs especially, keeping up with the latest episodes of her favorite shows and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful mother, and an even better grandmother. She loved her family with everything in her, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Cory and Rickey (Beth) Cook; her daughter, Chassity Cook; her grandchildren, Maxwell, Jaxton, Hudson and Summer; her sisters, Nancy Searle, Sally (Andrew) Steele, Laurie Comeau, Sinda (Alex) MacDonald, and Sienna MacDonald; her special friend, Art Gibbs; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her stepfather, Coby MacDonald, as well as her partner, Sam Flaglor.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd (506-646-2424). In keeping with Brenda’s wishes, no visitation will be held, but a private family service will take place at a later date. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery will occur in the Spring of 2026. For those who wish, memorial donations in Brenda’s memory to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
