Bobby Keenan

It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Robert John “Bobby” Keenan, which occurred at his home on Monday, April 24th, 2023.  Born 1955, in Saint John, he is the son of the late James and Dorothy (Logan) Keenan.  Bobby was an outside worker with the City of Saint John for many years.  He attended St. Peter’s Boys School and went on to graduate from Millidgeville North High School in 1974.  Growing up, he was very well known in the North End of the city.  Bobby was very athletic and a great hockey player and a fantastic baseball catcher.  He was a quiet man who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.  He adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with his family and friends.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Bobby is survived by his loving and devoted wife Nancy (Nichols) of 51 years; son Joshua Keenan (Denise) of Saint John; daughter Ashley Keenan (Joe) of Saint John; brother Michael Keenan (Maureen) of Saint John; grandchildren Justine, Cole, Sophia and Emma; uncle Homer; as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends.  Along with his parents, Bobby was predeceased by his brother James.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday, April 27th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  A Memorial Service will take place in the Fundy chapel on Friday, April 28th at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date.  Donations in memory of Bobby may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
