It is with heavy hearts that the family of Blair Sterling Ellis, of Quispamsis, announces his passing which occurred on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Born in O’Leary, Prince Edward Island, he was the son of the late Sterling and Joyce (Morrel) Ellis. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sister-in-law Janet Ellis; father and mother-in-law Levi and Josephine Marsh.
He is survived by his devoted common law partner Tabetha Myles; his loving children Kathy Rumson (Mike), Cherie DeMerchant (Brent) and Derryk Ellis (Tricia) and their mother Mona Ellis; Tabetha’s children Kenny Drew and Sabrina Myles; his brothers Wayne Ellis (Diane) and Eric Ellis; sister Deanna Ellis; cherished grandchildren Jacob, Tyler, Jessica, Alyssa, Ryan, Blair, Drake and Mackenzie; great grandchildren Layne, Kinley-Jo, Hannah, Annamarie and Leo; nieces and nephews Karen, Keith, Kristin, Erica and Robyn; brother-in-law Bren Marsh (Grace); sister-in-law Penny Marsh (Harry); his care giver Knoll Meahan; and his canine companion soulmate and best friend KeyKey.
Blair worked for Canada Post retiring in 2008. He was a spiritual director at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Personal Support Worker and was a former Youth Pastor. Dad was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf and Toronto Blue Jays fan, and loved riding his motorcycle. Dad enjoyed spending time with his family and helping others.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, Saint John (646-2424). By Blair’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place in O’Leary, Prince Edward Island at a later date.
