***************************Updated Service Information************************
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Blaine Kelvin Donally on May 22, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Saint John, NB, on April 18, 1955, and was son of the late Daniel and Ella (Cornish) Donally.
Blaine worked various odd labor jobs over the years, from moving houses to assisting friends in their businesses, but most recently he managed an apartment building, fixing things that needed to be fixed. He was a skilled man. Blaine was quiet and more of a homebody than a social butterfly. He kept his circle of friends close and liked to keep his private life private. Growing up he was always close to his family and after losing so many of them over the years, he was starting to get very sentimental about them being gone and the things they did together. He liked to shoot darts when he was younger and liked to play video games on the computer as he got older, but lived quite a reserved lifestyle. He was a special man though, and he will be missed.
He is survived by his son, Kevin; his 2 grandchildren; his sister, Debra (George) Doucette; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Vivian, Vernon, Noreen, Sylvia, Ina, Allan, Donna, Clifton and Ivan.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). In keeping with Blaine’s wishes, no visitation or funeral service will be held. A graveside service will be held from Ocean View Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 11am. All are welcome to attend. For those who wish, memorial donations in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
