Bill Spear Obituary

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of William Howard “Bill” Spear which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 5th, 2019.  Born 1949, in Blacks Harbour, NB, he was the son of the late Bernard and Josephine (Harlow) Spear.  Bill was an instructor at the Community College for many years.  In his earlier years, he enjoyed fly fishing and bird hunting.  He also loved going camping and curling.

Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife Lynn (Walsh) of 33 years; sisters Joanne Maxwell (Glenn) of Sackville, Joyce Spear of Fredericton, Barb Maxwell of Rothesay, Beth Spear (Jim Goldrich) of Saint John, Deenie Wilson (Gil) of St. George; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Bill will be greatly missed by Molly and Bear. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by 3 siblings Bob, Judy and Dave, brother-in-law Gene and nephew Andrew.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  As per Bill’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
