Beverley D. Lyons

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Beverley Diane (Hill) Lyons, which occurred on Saturday, August 8th, 2026, in Hampton, NB.  Born on March 13th, 1950, in Charlottetown, PEI, she is the daughter of the late Rowland and Hilda (McBride) Hill.  Beverley worked as a librarian and a university administrator throughout her career.  She was a member of the Rotary Club of Hampton, the Atlantic Provinces Library Association, Eastern Star and UCW. Beverley enjoyed reading, cooking and travelling. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Beverley is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, Keith Lyons; sons Devin Lyons (Marie) of Vancouver, BC, Mark Lyons (Laurie) of Toronto, ON; sister Marilyn Linton (Morton) of St. Stephen, NB; granddaughter Nola; several honorary “children” including Autti Sankola of Finland and Jakob Kettenburg of Germany; as well as nieces, nephews and friends.  

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held at Hampton United Church (24 Robb Crt. Hampton, NB) on Friday, August 14th from 12 to 2 p.m.  A Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m.  Interment will take place at Hampton Rural Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Beverley may be made to the Hampton United ChurchMemorial Fund, The Alzheimer’s Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
