Bernard Francis Desmond Jr.

It is with heavy hearts the family of Bernie Desmond Jr. announce his passing which occurred on Tuesday December 27th, 2022, at Bobby’s Hospice.

Born in Saint John on March 24th, 1976, son of Bernard and Joan (Jolie) Desmond of Saint John. Bernie worked for the Town of Rothesay in the Parks Department. He was a Toronto Blue Jays fan, and enjoyed baseball, hockey, fishing and playing crib. A loving, spouse, son, father, brother, uncle and friend; he will be missed by all who knew him. 

Along with his parents, Bernie is survived by his loving life partner Karen Ringuette, children Noah Desmond and Brooke Desmond; stepson Samuel; sisters Mary Endress (Jeff), Patricia Quinlan (Rob) and Julie Marr; brother Brian Desmond (Amanda Cameron); aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). By Bernie’s request no visitation or service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice. A celebration of Bernice Desmond Jr.'s life will take place at the Hope Center, Loch Lomond Road on Sunday August 20, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
