Bernadette Theresa Murphy

The family of Bernadette T. Murphy, loving wife of the late William Murphy, sadly announce her passing which occurred on June 17, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born in Norton, NB, on May 18, 1948 she was the daughter of the late Donald and Agnes (McGinnis) Campbell.

She was the office administrator of the Catholic Book Store for many years.  Her family and faith were very important to her and she was a member of the NB Right to Life.  She had a keen interest in genealogy, lead bible-studies, and enjoyed reading. 

She is survived by her daughters; Kerry Foley (David), Wendy Ellingwood (Neil) and Jennifer Harley (Jeremy), her grandchildren; Katelyn, Anthony (Amanda), Megan, Matthew Maguire, Liam and Luke along with her great-grandchildren Aiden, Aubrey, Ava and Gabriel.  She is also survived by her nieces Lori Tucker and Melissa Campbell and her nephew David Shipley.

Besides her husband she is predeceased by her brother Kevin Campbell, her niece Shawna and Shawna's infant daughter and her sister Marie Shipley.

Our family would like to offer a sincere thank you to Dr. William Corless, Dr. Tony Reiman and to the nurses and staff of the Oncology and Chemotherapy Department at the Saint John Regional Hospital. 

Arrangements are the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. Due to current health restrictions, visitation will be held Monday with Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Quispamsis, for family and close friends at 2 p.m.  Interment will take place a Holy Cross Cemetery.  Remembrances made to the NB Right to Life, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.  For those who wish, floral tributes can be delivered to the funeral home.
