Barry P. O’Donnell

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Barry Phillip O’Donnell, which occurred on Monday, November 3rd, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born on April 18th, 1959, in Saint John, he is the son of the late Russell and Bessie (Bridges) O’Donnell.  Barry was self-employed as a Mechanic/Technician and was the Owner of O’Donnell Automotive for 30 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and having “a cold one”.  His best friend that he ever had was his dog Bear…. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Barry is survived by his loving and devoted wife Karine; sons Jeremy Doucette (Monique), Corey O’Donnell (Brittany), Brandon O’Donnell and step-son CJay Buchanan; step-daughter Jessica Buchanan; sisters Sharon Landry (Leonard) and Janet Little (Malcolm); grandchildren Liam, Logan, & Brianna O’Donnell, Charlie O’Donnell, Benjamin Doucette, Hudson Brideau and Stuey Callaghan; step-grandchildren Lil Jay and Janessa Buchanan; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Along with his parents, Barry was predeceased by his sister Angela.  

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424).  As per Barry’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A private family interment will take place at a later date.  Donations in memory of Barry may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
