Barbara Jean Ferris

The family of Miss Barbara Jean Ferris are sad to announce her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Jan. 30, 2026.  Barb was the daughter of the late Edmund P. Ferris and Mona Delza (Titus) Ferris. She was predeceased by her infant sister Constance and brothers Wayne and Edmund  and nephew Ronald  .She will be fondly remembered by many friends, cousins and her nephew Dale. She was the last  surviving member of her immediate family and she will be missed.

Barb was a very artistic person creating many arts and crafts projects over the years. Many have been recipients of her plastic canvas works and her beautiful colored dishcloths. She loved her cats dearly and enjoyed her beautiful flower gardens. She was always the favorite at family barbecues for dishing out her lavish banana splits. The kids loved her. 

Most of her working years were spent at Dominion Stores where she enjoyed meeting people and serving them. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Josephs Care Home  for making her feel loved  and to the wonderful nurses at The Palliative Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. (506-646 2424). In keeping with Barb`s wishes there will be no funeral service and a private family burial will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
