Audrey Doreen Saunders

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Hill Extension. The funeral procession will be departing from the Fundy Funeral Home parking lot at approximately 1:40 p.m. 

It is with great love that the family announces the passing of Audrey “Jean” Doreen Saunders, loving wife of the late Charles Clement Saunders, which occurred at The Church Home of Saint John St. Stephen on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Born 1926 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Hazel (Gertrude) Graham.

Audrey lived her life as a very caring, loving and generous person. A member of the Marco Polo Quilters Guild, she will be especially missed by her lifetime best friends, Joanne Fitzpatrick, Susan Fitzpatrick, Phyllis McIntyre, Madonna Horwood and Kathy Coffin all who were known as the “Tuesday Girls” .In her spare time, Audrey was a talented artist, specializing in Oil Painting and ceramics. She was driven and determined; anything she put her mind to she could do. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, knitting, sewing, and crocheting. She loved playing 45’s with the Wednesday night club and loved bridge.

Audrey will be missed by all who knew her. She is remembered by her children; C. David and Linda, sister Rhona (Bill) and their children; Carol and Robert, her grandchildren; Steven and Ryan (Jessica), great-grandchildren; Riley, Emma and Leah as well as several nieces and nephews and special friends Mike and Judy Upward.

Along with her parents, Audrey is predeceased by her brother Fred “Sonny" (Joyce) Graham.

Donations in Audrey’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
