Audrey Marie Power

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Audrey Marie Power, which occurred on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born November 12th, 1961, in Bathurst, NB, she is the daughter of the late Edgar and Eleanor (Goldrup) Power.  Audrey worked for the Federal Government for many years.  She was endlessly devoted to her grandchildren. She had a quick wit, a great sense of humour and was the first to offer a helping hand. Those who knew Audrey knew her kindness was limitless. She cherished every moment spent with her family and friends and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Audrey is survived by her loving and devoted husband Gary Wafer of 45 years; daughter Melissa Wiseman of Halifax, NS; son Patrick Wafer (Jillann) of St. Nicholas, PE; siblings Bernie Power (Louise) of Bathurst, Jerry Power (Paulette) of Saint John, Paula Power (Lise) of Bathurst, Rodney Power (Kim) of Moncton, Beverly Guilbeault (Edmond) of Marathon, ON, Joyce Power of Bathurst, Blaine Power (Kelly) of Moncton and Cletus Power (Barbara) of Ottawa, ON; cherished grandchildren Josh and Holly; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  Following cremation, a celebration will be held in Bathurst at the North Tetegouche Rec Center on April 4th between 3 and 7pm.  Donations in memory of Audrey may be made to The Diabetes Association, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
