Audrey Pearl Macaulay

It is with appreciation for a life well lived, that the family of Audrey Pearl Macaulay announce her passing on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Orchard View Long Term Care Home.

Audrey was born in Saint John on October 10, 1933, the daughter of the late Bert and Rita (Rackley) Blizzard. Audrey worked for MRA’s for over 13 years. She loved to sing, and her voice was a constant source of joy. More than anything, she loved her family. She found her greatest happiness in being a mother and grandmother, always putting her loved ones first and ensuring that everyone felt cared for. 

Audrey had a gentle spirit that drew people in, and her warmth and kindness will leave a lasting mark on all who knew her. 

Her family takes comfort in knowing that her love will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew her. 

She will be deeply missed by her children Holly Lindsay, Shelley (Greg) Balemans, Scott (Michelle) Macaulay, and Donna Mitchell; brothers Bert Blizzard and Paul (Diane) Blizzard; grandchildren Murray, Shelley, John, Matthew, Christine, Sarah, Kaitlyn, Logan, Lilianne, Alicia, Cody and Zachary; great-grandchildren Dominick, Ashlyn, Kayla, Robert, Jacob, Zoey, Zayden, Aria, Meghan, Jason, Carter and Malcolm; several nieces and nephews.

We would be remiss if we didn’t mention Audrey’s second family – the Staff at Orchard View Care Home, where she spent close to ten years. The way they treated her like one of their own brought great comfort and peace to her and all who loved her. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Malcolm, brother Dougie, sister Patricia Thorne; brother in law Delbert Thorne; sister in law Marguerite Blizzard; son in law Robert Lindsay; daughters in infancy Deborah, Sharon and Lorna; grandsons William and Christopher.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road on Monday, October 27, 2025 from 2-6 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Midland Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to Orchard View Long Term Care.
