Arthur Raymond "Ray" Bungay

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Arthur Raymond "Ray" Bungay announces his passing, which occurred on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born in Sydney, Cape Breton, NS, on April 1, 1947, he was a son of the late Arthur and Jessie (Hardy) Bungay.

Ray was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He is very much loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

Ray worked for many years at the Met, Woolco, with the Frigate Project, and CRA up until his retirement. He was an avid, lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan and developed a passion for cooking once retired.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carolyn Bungay; sons Arthur (Heather) and Donald (Chris) Bungay; daughter Janice Bungay-Enns (Michael); grandchildren Brady, Michela, Daniel, Ethan, Noah; and great grandchildren Mason, Ava and Parker. Along with his parents, Ray was predeceased by his brother David Bungay.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.
