Arnold William Rodgers

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Arnold William Rodgers at Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home. Arnold was born on January 5, 1920, in Barnesville, New Brunswick. He was the son of the late William and Jemima (Hosford) Rodgers.

Arnold is survived by his daughter, Linda; grandchildren, Jamie, Jennifer, Jared (Sarah), Cory (Drew), and Matthew; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Greta Carson and Doris Graham, and his sister-in-law, Hazel Rodgers, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Besides his parents, Arnold was predeceased by his wife of 73 years, Mary (Enwright); his son, Allen; and his siblings, Annie, Ethel, Hazel, and Fred.

He spent many years working in the automotive industry and took pride in his work. He was a man of strong faith and was a member of Harmony United Church (formerly Glenview United). He had a love for a good game of cards. Above all else, Arnold treasured his family and friends.

A sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Elm House at Loch Lomond Villa for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Arnold and our entire family. Your kindness, support, and dedication will never be forgotten.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, 506-646-2424. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 12, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home on Thursday, August 13, at 10 a.m. in the Fundy Funeral Chapel. Friends and family are invited to attend, with a reception following. Interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens will follow.
