Arlene Elizabeth (Blizzard) Boudreau

With heavy hearts, the family of Arlene Boudreau announces her passing, which occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Thursday, March 16th, 2023. Arlene was born in Saint John on January 11, 1934; a daughter of the late Hazel (Burlock) and Percy Blizzard, and the loving wife of the late James “Jimmy” Boudreau.

During her working years, Arlene was a clerk at Calps, and Woolco. She at one time was a member of Fundamental Baptist Church, and a big supporter of Central Wickham Baptist Church. Arlene was an avid knitter; many family members received sweaters and various items she made for them. Arlene was a woman of routine; she would watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy in the evenings, and always looked forward to her Saturday afternoon card games. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Sichmann (the late Gerald), sisters Lois Reid (the late William), Barbara Rushworth (the late John), and Deanna Ducey (Jarvis), 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents, and her husband Jimmy, Arlene was pre-deceased by her daughter Carol Brewer (the late Steven), brothers Harold Blizzard (the late Shirley) and Robert Blizzard, and her sister, Elsie Sonier.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John with visitation on Wednesday from 10am until 12 Noon, followed by a funeral service in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
