With heavy hearts, the family of Anthony (Tony) Adams announces his passing which occurred peacefully at Bobby’s Hospice with his Saint John family by his side on November 26, 2025. Born In Yarmouth NS on Sept 28, 1954, he was the son of the late Merton and Norma (Stillman) Adams.
Tony is survived by his brother’s Doug (Brenda) Adams, Terry (Cathy) Adams, Don (Nancy) Adams and sister Penny Adams-O’Rourke and several nieces and nephews. Tony will also be missed by his extended family and best friends Darlene and Robert Richard, dear friend Gussy Farren, the man who made him laugh so much his belly would hurt Dan Briggs, Close friends Leonard Mazerolle and Tanya Scribbines. Forever in Tony’s heart were Alisha, Ricky, Tanya and Tony.
Tony worked as a cook at Centracare for many years and for the last 14 years as a personal support worker for Kindred Home Care. A job that showed Tony’s true compassion in life. When Tony wasn’t at Jerimiah’s in the City Market hanging with his breakfast buddies, he could often be found biking or riding his bicycle through the trails at Rockwood Park. He enjoyed life to the fullest and socializing with people so when he moved into Admiral Beatty, Tony was beside himself, hanging out in front of the building with his many newfound friends. Tony also enjoyed playing on his keyboard for himself and Jack the Cat.
Special thanks to Yvonne Perry and the breakfast girls for the many laughs, and to the Admiral Beatty and Kindred Home Care and especially Tundee for his professionalism and care over the past several Months.
Aside from his parents Tony was predeceased by his brothers Robert and John Adams and sisters Myrna Adams-Mood and Jennie Johnson.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). In keeping with Tony’s wishes there will be no visitation or service at this time. For those wishing to donate in Tony’s memory may do so to Bobby’s Hospice.
