Anthony Joseph Hachey

It is with great sadness that the family of Anthony Joseph Hachey, loving husband of Jeannette Marie (Arseneault) Hachey, wish to announce his passing which occurred on April 12, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  He was born in Joggins, NS, July 22, 1945, to the late Clovis and Laura Hachey.

Anthony loved all sports and actively played baseball.  He enjoyed singing and playing his guitar with his family band.  He will be remembered for his generosity and how he held his family in such high esteem. 

Besides his beloved wife Jeannette, he is survived by his son Steven (Jonathan), his sister Stella Mannella, his granddaughter Julia (Justin), and his great grandchild Wrenley, along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Rita, Ovila, Doris, Clifford, Roland, and Linda.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care Anthony received from Extra Mural and the SJRH Palliative Care unit.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424), with visitation on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 11:00am until 1:00pm at which time the Funeral Liturgy will take place at the Fundy Chapel.  For those unable to attend the service, you can view it at the following: https://event.forgetmenotceremonies.com/ceremony?c=3be3063d-78b5-47e1-b89c-5b7db5cc2516  Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.  Remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated
