Anita Godin

Our loving mother, Anita Godin, wife of the late Alphonse Godin, passed peacefully on Saturday January 2, 2021 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Grand Digue, NB on the 3rd day of April, 1941 to the late Arthur and Emma Hebert. Anita was a kind and gentle soul who devoted herself to raising her family. She will not only be remembered as a wonderful mother, but a devoted friend who never passed judgement, and always went above and beyond for everyone she knew. Anita enjoyed playing cards, bingo and listening to music.

She will be deeply missed by her children Gerry (Tara), Dennis (Lisa), Linda McCullough and Laurie “Lu Lu” White; brother Bernard (Camila); sisters Lucia, Suzanne (Regeanne) and Claudette; grandchildren Kristopher, Chance, Michelle, Marcus, Rachel and Lucah; several greatgrandchildren and her companion Gerald Stevens.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Brenda, granddaughter Amanda, son-in-law Benny and several brothers and sisters.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland where private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations in her memory may be made to Bobby’s Hospice.
