It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved Andrew passed away in Saint John on January 31, 2026, Andrew was born in Saint John but also a great deal of his life was in Lawrencetown NS, Andrew leaves behind his loving and devoted grandmother Carolann LeBlanc, and his loving parents Lee LeBlanc and Sylvia Smith (Bob), his brother Matthew Smith, his Aunt Annette LeBlanc- Power and cousin Emily who was like a sister to him. His nieces and nephews Cody, Marcus, Rebecca, Adrianna, Leah and great niece and nephews. His Grandmother Ruth Smith aunt and uncle Victor and April Babineau. He will also be greatly missed by the many family and friends he has met throughout his lifetime.
Andrew was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Leo LeBlanc (Andrew's best friend) and maternal grandfather Don Smith and his Sister Krystal Eliassen.
Andrews greatest joy was the time he spent in the woods with his grandfather and dad, pitching a tent and exploring nature and learning all the names of the trees and being taught survival skills.
He spent his summers swimming with his "Papa" in the large lake behind his home in Baxters Corner or biking the many trails in the back woods.
He grew up dreaming he would one day join the army, sadly this ended when he discovered he had a kidney disease at the age of 14.
Andrew was very creative, He loved to sing and play guitar, he was a born natural and learned this skill very quickly. He also expressed himself through poetry and writing songs. His favorite subjects were English and History. He loved reading of the adventures of Knights and their castles.
Andrew had a huge heart and always tried to help anyone in need especially the elderly and people who lived on the streets. They had become like a second family to him. He was the first to defend the underdog even if it meant him getting in trouble for it.
Andrew had a difficult life as he struggled with mental illness and addictions, but even so he never lost his childlike innocence. He had such a caring spirit and was an old soul who loved so deeply. He will be missed so much, and our lives will never be the same. He will always be loved and cherished by his family now and forever.
