Amand Savoie Obituary

Amand Wilfred Savoie passed away peacefully at home on May 7, 2026, with his family by his side. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, on September 29, 1956, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Viola Savoie.

Amand was the kind of man who worked hard his whole life and never complained about it. From 1995 until his retirement in 2021, he worked as a driller and blaster at Brookville Lime, where he was known as a dependable and dedicated worker. Providing for his family was always important to him, and he took pride in the life he built with them.

When he wasn’t working, Amand loved being outdoors. Some of his favourite places were around Loch Lomond Lake, Damascus, and Brookville, where he spent many hours fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed biking, getting together for a game of Texas Hold’em, and more recently, getting back into playing crib. He appreciated the simple things — good company, a few laughs, and time spent doing what he loved.

More than anything, Amand loved his family. He shared 52 years of marriage with the love of his life, Shelly (Cook) Savoie, and together they raised a close-knit family that he was incredibly proud of.

Amand leaves behind his beloved wife Shelly; his children Corey (Tasha) Savoie, Chris Savoie (Wendy Lynn), Paula Savoie, and Tanya Savoie (Mike Morin); his sisters Irene (Diane) Savoie and Valerie (Garry) Spencer; his grandchildren: Tanner, Grace, Chelsea, Natalia, Haley, Shawn, Kian, Austin, Kitana, Caleb, Gabriel, Kaliana, Matthias and Victoria, and 3 great-grandchildren: Weston, Kinsley and Raya - all whom he adored; many special and valued brothers and sisters-in-law, especially Robbie Crowe; several nieces and nephews; and his loyal fur baby, Bently.

Besides his parents, Amand was predeceased by his son, Keith Savoie.
