Alyson Maxwell Obituary

Alyson Laverne Maxwell

January 11, 1960-February 28, 2021

With much love and sadness, Alyson’s family shares her self-written obituary; both humble and kind just as she lived her own life.  Heaven has gained an angel, and we have been left with an indelible mark on our hearts by her earthly presence.

Well, the fun and adventures have come to an end for Alyson Maxwell, she is walking the stairway to heaven. After a two-year battle with heart failure, her battle is now over.  She was ready to move on to her next adventure with the Lord holding her hand.

Alyson has had many opportunities in various employment and volunteer capacities across this country, to help others grow and blossom.  This always put a smile on her face and brought her much pride.

Alyson leaves her beautiful family of five siblings, Nancy Dorie (Archie) of Millstream, NB, Chuck Maxwell of Millstream, NB, David Maxwell (Wendy) of Saint John, NB, Cathy Kilpatrick (Dale) of Saint John, NB, and Beverley Loker-French (Doug) of Burton, NB.  She leaves behind 10 cherished nieces and nephews and was Great Aunt (Graunty) to 25 great nieces and nephews.   She leaves behind countless special friends, who she loved like family.

Alyson was born in Saint John, New Brunswick and was predeceased by her Mother, Leila McKenzie Maxwell (Loker), her father, Addison Maxwell, Step-Father, Harry Loker and infant brother, John Maxwell.

A celebration of Alyson’s life will be held at a later date, due to the ongoing pandemic.

Donations in Alyson’s memory can be made to the New Brunswick Heart Centre or to the charity of your choice.  A very special thank you to the New Brunswick Extra Mural Program, whose service and kindnesses were appreciated by Alyson and her family during her illness.
