It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allen Roy Bro, who passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on January 10, 1945, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Al was a devoted husband to Audrey (Palmer) Bro. Al and Audrey's adventures began in 1994 in Ontario. Their journeys took them to Welsford, NB, Banff Alberta and they made their final home in Grand Bay-Westfield, NB surrounded by friends and family. They enjoyed traveling to NFLD, where they cherished the beauty of the landscape, seafood, icebergs and relaxing time with family, friends and loved ones.
Al quicky fit into the puzzle of Audrey's family of Beth (JR) Vallis, Vince (Linda) Medford, Doug (Lynn) Medford, April Medford and Krista (Vince) Dixon. Another piece of Al's puzzle was his children, Shane (Raelene) Bro, Robert Bro, Allen Bro and Wendy Bro, along with brother Don (Wendy) Cameron, sister Jean Plintz and many grand children and great grandchildren.
Al will be remembered for his unwavering support to those he cared about, gentle wisdom that he often offered 'wanted or unwanted' in his all-knowing way as a Jack of all trades and sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around him, with an incredible genuine laugh.
Throughout his life Al enjoyed many hobbies from playing and coaching baseball, shooting pool with friends, playing cards or watching any sport relaxing in his favourite chair with a bowl of popcorn or chips. In his later years Al could be found creating latch hook rugs for those he loves, building puzzles and playing TV bingo.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care given by the nursing staff and doctors on 5C South at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be held at Church of the Resurrection on Monday, July 13th between 6:00-8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place at Church of the Resurrection (Grand Bay- Westfield) on Tuesday, July 14th at 11:00 AM followed by reception and burial at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. 1650 Manawagonish Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Al's memory may be made to Church of the Resurrection to support the Outflow ministry.
Though he will be deeply missed, Al will forever be remembered for the love he shared and the lives he touched.
