Allan Douglas Flieger

It is with profound sadness that the family of Allan Douglas Flieger wishes to announce his sudden and unexpected passing on November 16, 2022 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born July 8, 1958 in Saint John to the late Douglas and Constance (Cullinan) Flieger and was a husband, partner and best friend of 39 years to his wife Lois Smith.  Allan was employed for many years with Service New Brunswick at the Regional Hospital, Saint John.  He was an avid sports guy and was known to cheer his favourite hockey team, the Chicago Blackhawks, from the sidelines.  In addition to his wife Lois, Allan is survived by his stepdaughters:  Tammy Smith (Mike) and Brenda Smith; his grandchildren:  Jocelyn, Amber, Allie, and Jason; and his great-grandson Logan.  He also leaves behind his special aunt Dona (Cullinan) Atcheson and his cousin David Perry (Marie).  Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (506-646-2424).  As per Allan’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A private interment will take place at a later date.  Donations to Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
