1940-2023

The family of Alice Wightman DeLong (nee Mowatt), announce her passing on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  While we are sad to see her go we are relieved that she is no longer suffering.  Born in St. Stephen, to her parents the late Edna and Frederick Mowatt; her loss will be deeply felt by her sons Larry, Fred, Wayne (Michele) and the late Brian DeLong; her grandchildren Jason (Kiran), Ryan (Brittney) and Nicole, her step-grandchildren Zack and Kaitlyn (Nick) and great-grandchildren Brody, Myles, Milo and Eddie.  She will also be missed by her brothers John and Teddy Mowatt and her sister, the late Marion (Floyd) Johnson.  Alice graduated from St. Stephen Highschool in 1961 and lived in Browns Flat for over 28 years.  She was also an avid player of darts in her day.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424).  In keeping with Alice's wishes cremation has already taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.  Donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
