Albert Joseph Smith

It is with great sadness that the family of Albert Joseph Smith announce his passing which occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Sunday, June 15, 2025, surrounded by his family. Al was born in Vancouver, BC and was the son of the late John and Agnes (Kerr) Smith

Al is survived by his wife Anita of 69 years, daughters Suzanne and Laurie (John), three granddaughters Carolyn (Brett), Sarah (Andrew), and Julia (Michael) as well as 3 great grandchildren Josie, Tate and Nash, brother Junior (Helene) and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Al was predeceased by brothers James (Ernestine) and William and son-in-law Dan Murray.

Al was employed by Revenue Canada Taxation for 35 years retiring in 1988 and was a Certified General Accountant receiving his designation in 1962, a Lifetime Membership in 1976 and a Fellowship in 1981.

The family would like to thank the staff at Rocmaura for their care and compassion while Al was in their care.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home. There will be no visitation, and a private funeral will be held at a later date.
