I only found out today and am sorry for your loss. I met Woody while he had a shop on Union St; and followed him when he was styling from home. He was always welcoming, and always there when you needed a trim on a whim, with his "hello dawling" and piercing eyes; he will always be missed and remembered. My sincere condolences to you.

You always had great style and a twinkle in your eye Woody. You brought a smile and great "hair do" to so many! I'll never forget your arrival to do the hair for my wedding party. I opened the door to find you clad all in black wearing a black leather biker jacket and NY baseball hat. "Someone has to mourn your freedom" you explained and then strutted in waving your hands exclaiming..."let's do this girls!". Everyone's hair was perfect! Every time I saw you when you lived in BC...you made me smile and laugh. So glad you were one of my Mom's oldest friends cause I got to share some great times too. Rest in Peace ...but do keep on dancing and be sure to give "the king of rock and roll" a big hug from Mom and I. XOX

I knew Woody many many years ago when I was a teenager and participated in the activities of the Curtain Club in Richmond Hill, Ontario where my mother was a member. I have thought of Woody over the years and remember him with such fondness. He was so much fun. Lots of energy and lots of kindness. I know my mum, Liz Jackson, was very fond of him too. My condolences to his friends and family.

I'm so sorry to learn of Woody's passing...I only knew him for the last five years of his life, but I will never forget his "tell it like it is" personality...he never pretended to be anything he wasn't! He was smart, funny, and incredibly generous...I will miss him! Hope he's dancing in heaven...
