Wilfred Joseph Comeau

Wilfred “Woody” Joseph Comeau passed away peacefully on Monday November 14, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1941 in Saint John he was the son of the late Wilfred Sr. and Mildred (Carr) Comeau. Woody was employed as a hairdresser for many years and received numerous awards for his work. In his younger years he was an avid dancer at the Boys and Girls Club. He will be remembered for his charismatic personality and his kindness to others. He is survived by his brother Frank Comeau of Saint John; sisters Shirley (Fred) Kirkpatrick of Kingston Peninsula and Heather (Larry) Rutherford of Saint John; special friend Peggy Hoyt; sister in law Jean McTague; as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Wilfred was pre-deceased by his brother, Raymond Comeau.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. By his request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.   Donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
