It is with deep sadness that the family of Velma Comeau (nee Stewart), announces her peaceful passing which occurred on Sunday, May 20th, 2018 at Bobby's Hospice in Saint John, NB. Born on September 16th, 1947, in McNamee, NB, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Helen (nee Price) Stewart. In addition to being the most wonderful mother, she spent her life taking care of others. She was a giving and loving person and spent her life taking care of others. Her warm loving spirit and sharp sense of humour touched the lives of those around her She will be greatly missed and remembered by the lives she touched and the friends she made. Her great strength of character lives on in her children.
Velma is survived by her children; Joseph Comeau (Pamela), Jeffrey Comeau (Trina), Janice Taylor (Russ), Gina Vanstone (Pete) and Jerry Comeau; grandchildren Christopher, Kaitlyn, Sydney, Payton and Cameron; siblings Norah, David, Mannie, Marilyn, Wendy and Angela; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many friends.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home. A private family interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date.
The family would like to sincerely thank the nurses and staff at Bobby's Hospice, who provided care, support and compassion to Velma in her final days.
