It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness the family of Trudy Elaine Kernighan announce her peaceful passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, June 20th 2018 surrounded by her loving husband Mark and best friends Katherine Jardine and Leonard Brideau.
Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, April 1st, 1964, she is the daughter of Marshall Jr. and Winona “Winnie” (Norton) McKibbon.
Trudy worked at the Refinery for the past twelve years until her health declined. She was a very loving, caring and trustworthy individual and was always there for her family. She had a HUGE heart for animals in particular her canine companion Gizmo and fur baby Gus.
In addition to her loving husband Mark of 31 years and her cherished parents Marshall Jr. and Winnie, Trudy is survived by a very special, close circle of family and friends; Katherine Jardine, Leonard Brideau, Kelly Vickers, Dana Lloyd, Daria Fallon, Larry Kenny, Chris Kenny, Lawrence Mason, Frank Garnett and every other person from Matrix, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
On behalf of the family, we would like to thank the nurses of the Saint John Regional Hospital Oncology Department and in particular Dr. Williams of Oncology in Moncton, Dr. Burnell and Dr. Campbell.
By Trudy’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Memorial donations placed towards the SPCA would be greatly appreciated.
