Thomas William Hargraves

With heavy hearts, the family of Tom Hargraves announces his passing, which occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital on Saturday, September 1st, 2018. Born in Pictou, NS on October 28, 1936, he was the loving husband of the late Dorothy (Fairweather) Hargraves. Tom was a mechanic his entire life, and an avid stock car driver, and fan. He loved the Montreal Canadiens, and Dodge products. He enjoyed country music, and going to St. Andrews to spend time with friends at the trailer. Tom is survived by his children; Tim, Jamie (Leane), and Sandy (Ryan); his grandchildren Evie and Paxton, and their mother, Paula. Also surviving are his sister Carley Norris, brothers Byron Williamson (Nancy), Donnie Williamson, sisters-in-law Joan Lawrence (Lee) and Eleanor Fillmore, several nieces and nephews, and his special companion, Wanda McCready. Along with his wife Dorothy, Tom was pre-deceased by his brother, Jim Fillmore. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation being held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00p.m, from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
