Terry W. MacNeill

 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Terrance Wayne MacNeill which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, November 19th, 2018 with his family by his side.  Born 1960, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Daniel and Alice (Pilley) MacNeill.  Terry enjoyed cooking at a young age, so there was no doubt that he would become a Chef.  He belonged to the Chef’s Association of New Brunswick.  Terry moved to Oshawa Ontario with his young family to become Food Director for Kingsway College Seventh Day Adventist School.  Cooking was his passion at home and at work.  For many years, Terry was Santa Claus at family gatherings.  He enjoyed putting smiles on faces, young and old, and would play Santa at Nursing Homes as well.  Terry enjoyed biking, ice skating and a variety of sports.  His faith was a big part of who he was.

Terry is survived by his companion Sandra of Saint John; daughters Alice Forgrave and Alicia MacNeill and their mother Brenda (Cook) MacNeill all of Saint John; brothers Gordon (Doris), Chester (Wilma), Everett (June) all of PEI; sisters Kathy McColgan (Robert), Marilyn Clark (Dave), Jean Gould (Steve) all of Saint John and Irlene Lowney (Bob) of PEI; grandchildren Keagean, Dominick, Caleb and Jayda; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides his parents, Terry was predeceased by his sisters Myrtle McNavin and Brenda Shuve. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  A Memorial Service will take place at the Seventh Day Adventist Church (509 Woodward Ave.) on Friday, November 23rd at 11 a.m.  Interment will take place at a later date.  Donations in memory of Terry may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
