Susan Marie Crowell

It is with profound sadness that the family of Susan Marie Crowell announces her sudden and tragic death on September 2nd 2018 in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent. Born in Saint John on February 8th 1969, she was the daughter of Evelyn McCaffrey (Blanchard), Alphonse Daigle, and step daughter to Philip McCaffrey. She is predeceased by both her father and step father. 

She was a loving wife to her husband Blair Stephen, and devoted mother to her son, Blair Stephen Arthur, and daughter, Genevieve Evelyn Marie. She is survived by her siblings, Ivan (Maria) Daigle, Odette (Dennis) Hickey, Catherine Daigle, Joan (Louie) Vautour, Jeannine McCaffrey, and Michael (Julie) Daigle.  

Susan was a resident of Saint John, New Brunswick after moving to the city from Rexton. She attended Modern Business College and gained a degree in Business Secretarial. She previously worked for the Canadian Cancer Society, and TD Canada Trust, where she helped many people through troubling times. She later went on to work at Service New Brunswick up until the present. Susan loved to help people, and served every customer with a smile and kind words, often going beyond what was expected of her.
Susan’s only love other than her husband and children was her mother Evelyn, who resides in St. Louis-De-Kent, where she would travel every weekend to visit. 

Susan was known for her devotion to the Church, to seniors, and Veterans, but mostly to her children and husband. She will be sadly missed by many people, but forever remembered. Her kind and generous spirit lives on in her husband and children. 

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Sunday, September 9 from 2 to 4 and 6  to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 4347 Loch Lomond Road, Saint John on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception in the HOPE Centre. 
Donations in Susan’s memory can be made to St. Joseph’s church, where she faithfully attended mass every week.
