Shawn Lea Budd

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Shawn Lea Budd which occurred unexpectedly due to health complications on Thursday, August 23rd, 2018. Born March 17th, 1966, in Saint John, he was the son of Winston and Wanda (Berry) Budd.

It is hard to speak of Shawn in the past tense because he was so present in all of our lives.  He was full of wit, love and had a wealth of knowledge. Shawn loved to learn, he was a very talented artist and enjoyed fixing older things, many knew him as an “Inventor” always being able to create something new.  The most important thing in Shawn’s life was his family, we will miss him dearly.

Shawn is survived by his loving parents; Winston and Wanda (Berry) Budd and his sister Tara (Michael) Green and her children; Coleman and Connor.

He is predeceased by Mindy, his canine-companion.

We offer our sincere heartfelt thanks to the Cardiac Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their care and compassion given towards Shawn throughout his last hours.

We invite family and friends to share memories and celebrate Shawn’s life during visitation taking place at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Friday, August 31 2018 between 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 1st at 3:30 PM from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial donations in memory of Shawn may be placed towards the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
