Sharon Ann MacLean

With heavy hearts, the family of Sharon Ann (Lawton) MacLean announce her peaceful passing on June 13, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.   Sharon was born on January 14, 1962 to Viola Lawton (Tom DesRoches) and the late Gordon Lawton.
 
Sharon was a very caring individual in both her career and home life.  She worked for over 30 years at Rocmaura Nursing Home as a Resident Attendant and absolutely loved her job - she would walk there in a snow storm, just so she could be there for her patients.  She was a family oriented person, but her children were her everything.    She was a very devoted mother and lived selflessly for her children, always putting them first.  She would do anything for anyone and was always looking out for others.  Sharon would give you the last can of food in her cupboard if you were in need.  She was just a sweetheart who will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of meeting her. 

Along with her mother Viola, she is survived by her daughter Stephanie (Chris) Cormier, and two sons; Nicholas (Stefanie) and Nathan (Morgan) MacLean, sisters; Karen (Roy) Tower, Sandra Lawton, Debbie (Roger) Dunbar, Cathy Wozlowski and Krystal Olsen, and nieces and nephews; Justin, Rachel, Wayne, Aaron and Sharlene.
In addition to her father Gordon, she was predeceased by her sister Janice Lawton. 
 
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.  A funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 10am with interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
 
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sharon may be placed to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
