On December 10, 2019, our father, Sandy (Alexander) LeBlanc passed away at the age of 72. He is survived by his loving children (Patricia Vautour, Paula Lanigan, Noreen Robichaud, Tammy Thibodeau and Todd LeBlanc), several grandchildren and siblings. Words can’t express how deeply saddened we are that he is gone.
Our dad was put on this earth to be our father. There was never a doubt as to how much he loved each one of us. He was such a gentle and easy-going dad who had the patience of a Saint! He never once raised his voice at us even though I’m sure we deserved it at times. We always knew that dad was there for us if we needed him. He could keep a secret better than anyone! Without having to say the words, we knew that dad was pleased with our choices for partners; he loved them all. The only people he loved more than his kids were his grandkids.
He was very hard working and enjoyed his lifelong career as a baker. It didn’t take much to amuse dad. He loved to go to Bingo, scratch some tickets, drive his Impala, beat you at crib, watch TV and have a coffee and plain donut at Tim Hortons. He had a quiet life and he loved his little apartment on Kallars Hill. When he was unable to care for himself, he went to the Church of St. John St. Stephen Nursing Home. Our family will be forever grateful for their kindness towards dad in his last months.
If you knew my dad, you liked him! We will miss him sorely and know he’s watching over us.
We will be having a reception at the home of Patricia Vautour (1201 Rothesay, Road, Rothesay, NB) on January 4, 2020 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. You are welcome to stop by to help celebrate the life of a wonderful man. In lieu of flowers, if you wish to make a donation, dad supported The Braedon Foundation and the SPCA or CARMA.
