Royden "Roy" Clark Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Royden Alden Clark on February 19, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Roy was born in Saint John, NB on November 18, 1951 to the late William and Sylvia (Wood) (Clark) Oke.

Roy was a truck driver by trade, pretty much taking to the roads as soon as his feet could reach the pedals.  He was handy and loved to work on anything with a motor in it.  Roy was a big fan of Nascar and Baseball who had the world’s greatest poker face, a mischievous sense of humor and a belly laugh that will always be remembered.  Roy was a very good father, who had a heart of gold and was always available with a listening ear and a willingness to help anyone.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sons; Philip and Tim of Brighton, ON, daughter Lisa (Larry) Fancey of Trenton, ON, 4 grandchildren; Cody, Larissa, Jenny and Kaley, brothers; Ronald, Robert and Brian, sister Debbie Saunders, great friend Dave Edgar, along with several nieces, nephews cousins and friends.  He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Shelly Urquhart and his former spouse, Janice Haight.

Roy’s family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to his Extra Mural nurses and caregivers, notably Pam, Bonnie and Kim.  Your care and compassion shown to Roy was greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  In keeping with Roy’s wishes, no services will be held.  A private family graveside service will take place in Ontario in the spring.  For those who wish, memorial donations in Roy’s memory made to the charity of the donor’s choice will be appreciated by his family.
