Roxanna Gale (Berryman) Hooper

It is with great sadness the family of Roxanne Gale (Berryman) Hooper, wife of Walter W. Hooper, announces her peaceful passing which occurred on Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on December 14th, 1948, in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Ada (Dorbyson) Berryman.  Roxanne was a provider, a caregiver and a nurturer.  She loved everyone close to her and had no problem showing it, but if she had a problem with you, you would know.  She was the softest, most gentle, loving person you have ever seen but would still break your ribs with every hug she gave you.  She taught us how to care, how to be strong and how to stand up for what you believe in.

Roxanne was a caregiver.  A woman of warmth, spirit and love.  She spent her life taking care of others.  Always with a warm meal and a kind smile that welcomed you into her home and life.  She will be remembered by the lives she touched and the joy she brought into the world. Until we can hug again, We Love You.

Roxanne is survived by her husband Walter and their children; Peter W. Hooper (Tina) and Bridget McCrea (Daryl); siblings Dawn Gavel (Rick), Theresa Berryman (Peter), Shane Berryman (Helena), Lee McNeil (Danny), Lana Lagace (Richard), Tammy Berryman; sister-in-law Daisy grandchildren Joshua Hooper (Emily), Jessica Law (Anderson) Jarret Hooper, Emily Hooper; great grandsons Atticus and Harrison Law; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides her parents, Roxanne was predeceased by her younger brother Gary.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Friday, May 11th from 5 to 7 p.m.  Visitation will also take place on Saturday, May 12th from 11 to 1 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. in the Fundy Funeral Home chapel.  A private family graveside will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
