Ronald Joseph Barrieau

It is with sadness the family of Ronald Joseph Barrieau who passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday January 6, 2020. Born in St. Margaret’s, NB on July 20, 1939, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Barrieau.  Ron was a Truck Driver working for Wellwood of Canada and the Province of New Brunswick; in later years Ron worked at the Community Center and Seniors Complex Kouchibouguac. He enjoyed many years of fishing, hunting and the outdoors. Ron was a Mr. Fix It and could fix almost everything.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Claudette & Larry Casey of Saint John; son Kevin Barrieau of Ontario; 1 granddaughter; brother-in-law; sister-in-law;  nieces, nephews and friends. Along with his parents, Ron was predeceased by his daughter Leona; his brothers Mel and Art and his beloved wives Elodie and Emerise.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) Visitation will be held on Monday January 13th from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. following the visitation. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in Ron’s memory can be made to Rocmaura Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
