It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Ronald L. Spellman, devoted husband to Lena (Richardson) Spellman, which occurred on Saturday, August 4th, 2018. Born April 14, 1944, he was the son of the late Robert and Beulah (Mott) Spellman.
Ronnie spent many years on the road as a long-haul Owner/Operator and loved to share stories of his trucking days. One could say he had the gift to gab! He loved his motorcycles, music, TV, telling jokes,laughter and salt! But most of all he loved his family. Over the past few years he was a rock for his wife Lena, who he would do anything for, and did until the very end.
Along with his loving wife Lena, Ronald is survived by his cherished children; Karen (Kim) Spellman-Tracy, Ronda (Greg) Marr, Kathy Spellman Greer, Patricia Spellman, Ronald (Bonnie) Spellman, Eddie (Irene) Patterson, Walter (Lynne) Patterson, Wayne (Andrea) Patterson and, Elizabeth (Gary) Gilchrist.
He is also survived by his grandchildren; Morgan, Jenna, Ariel, Tori, Lexie, Colin, Connor, Kristen, Erin, Sheldon, Shane, Joe, Mitchell, Whitney, Amy and Dylan. great grandchildren; Parker, Charlotte, Hallie, Tyson, Mitchell, Kayla, Nick and, Baby Bean on the way, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie is predeceased by his siblings; Georgie LeBlanc, Gloria Waddell, Doris Whitenect, Joan Cook, Colleen Foster, Robert “Sonny” Spellman.
Ronald will be resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 between 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, August 9th at 1:00 PM from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Private family interment to follow at Erbs Cove Cemetery.
