Ron Hanson (1941-2019) fell asleep in death, November 11, 2019 at the SJRH. Ron was born January 24, 1941 and was married to his loving and supportive wife Connie for forty six years. He is predeceased by his parents Edna and Roy Hanson and sisters Jean, Sandra, Laura and brother Gerald (Gerry).
Survived by his wife Connie, sisters Carol, Sherry, and many nieces and nephews. Ron was a wonderful example of someone who would take care of his family members, especially his mom, during times of illness and other needs.
Ron loved to fish. He enjoyed visits with Spanky, his cuddly Havanese buddy. And really enjoyed watching TV shows showing how cars worked and is remembered for his earlier years in the stock car racing circuit. Ron worked at Fairweather Tire for well over thirty years.
Ron was baptized May 1st, 2016 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and he is fondly remembered as the welcoming brother at the Bayside Kingdom Hall. Always smiling with a cheerful chuckle. Ron was the first person you would meet and who would greet you before you entered to enjoy the meetings. He was also the one you would likely see as you drove along Loch Lomond Road taking care of the lawn at the KH and his own home on his dear old tractor. Ron was ever helpful and hospitable in support of his God, Jehovah, and the Bayside Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Palliative Care unit SJRH. Also thanks and appreciation to the many family and friends who supported Ron until he fell asleep in death.
