With heavy hearts, the family of Roger Reid announces his passing, which occurred at the SJRH on November 21st, 2018, surrounded by his family. Roger was born in Belleisle Creek on January 24th, 1950; a son of the late Alexander and Annie (Beech) Reid, and the loving husband of Margaret Ann (Lynch) Reid. Roger’s true passion was carpentry, and he was able to make his passion his life’s work, through his business, Roger Reid Construction. Along with his wife Margaret, Roger is survived by his children Joey Reid (Gina), Jeremy Reid (Amanda) and Erin McLean (Rick), and Harry Burley (Maria); sisters Anne Shurtliffe, Marie French (Bill) and Phyllis Nodwell (Lawrence), as well as grandchildren Julian, Elias, Brett, Chevy, Alley, Shauna, Owen, Gage, and Logan. In addition to his parents, Roger was pre-deceased by his brothers George and Stan, as well as sisters Lois Trimmer and Fern Gibson. Visitation will be held at the Carleton Kirk United Church, Duke St. West on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The memorial service will be held from the Carleton Kirk United Church on Monday at 2 p.m. Due to allergies in the family, flowers are gratefully declined.
