Rodney "Dale" Hooper

It is with deep regret the family of Rodney Dale Hooper announces his death, which occurred at Charlotte County Hospital on August 13, 2018.  Dale was the eldest son of Harvey and Verna Hooper, born February 9, 1960 in Saint John, New Brunswick. 

He leaves to mourn his mother, 2 sons; Jeremy (Carrie) Hooper and Caleb Hooper (Kelsey Trevor), stepson Kyle Cline (Ashley Eldridge), grandson Finn Hooper Derskin of Manitoba, brother Billy and sister Joan Anne Matheson (Darren), two nieces; Kathleen Matheson and Alice Zhang, two nephews; Alexander Matheson and Hooper Zhang, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was predeceased by his father Harvey S. Hooper, grandparents Sylvester and Bessie Hooper and Ralph and Beatrice Nice. 

In his younger years he was an avid basketball player and loved all sports.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  Visitation will be from 1-2pm on Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Sea View Full Gospel Church (195 Back Bay Loop, Back Bay) with a funeral service immediately following at 2pm.  Interment will take place in the Back Bay Crow Island Cemetery.  For those who wish, donations made in Dale’s memory to the Food Bank, Village of Hope, or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
