It is with heavy hearts, the family of Robert “Bob” Howard Davidson, loving husband of Marianne (Pusch) Davidson, of Martinon, announces his peaceful passing which occurred on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on July 30, 1936 he was the son of the late Frank and Helena (Galbraith) Davidson. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Shirley Weldon.
Bob started his career as a sheet metal worker, becoming the first president of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 437 in 1963. He worked for various heating, plumbing, ventilation and insulation companies, after several retirements he retired as an estimator for Industcom in 2018.
In addition to his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Marianne, he is survived by his sons Robert Davidson of Ottawa, Stephen Davidson (Kristine) of Quispamsis and Christopher Davidson of Saint John; five cherished grandchildren; sister Jean Perrin of Saint John; several nieces and nephews and their families.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Bob may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation, Romero House or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
