Richard Fraser Napier

With heavy hearts, the family of Richard Napier announces his passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, July 10th, 2018. Richard was born in Saint John on April 7th, 1944; a son of the late Donald Napier and Ida (James) Toole, and the loving husband of the late Janeen (Fox) Napier. Richard was an Engineer with the Coast Guard during his working years, and enjoyed hockey, baseball, fast cars, spending time with family, Harley Davidson motorcycles, Tim Hortons, Sudoku puzzles, scratch tickets, and loved dogs. He was especially fond of bingo; Richard was referred to as the “bingo champion” at the hospital. 

Celebrating his life are his daughters; Michelle (David) Elward, Kelley Lomax (Kevin Donald), Lindsay Napier (Jason Ebbett), and Melissa (Steve) Arsenault; grandchildren Chelsea Elward, Ryan Stewart, Michael Elward, Karley Ebbett, Tori Ebbett, Evan Arsenault, Jeff Ebbett, Kalabe Arsenault, and great-grandchildren Landon Macintosh, Colton Elward, and Kolby Elward. Along with his wife and parents, Richard was pre-deceased by his grandson, David Elward. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 13th at 11:00 a.m, from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
