Randall Keith Hanson

The death of Randall Keith “Randy” Hanson, husband of Gail Cyr, occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on June 10, 2017.  Born in Saint John he was the son of Keith and Pidge Hanson.

Randy, affectionately known as ‘Handy Randy’ worked throughout his life in construction as a heavy equipment operator.  He had a gentle demeanor by which he was referred to “as big as an ox, calm as a lamb.” He had a passion for computers.

Besides his wife and his parents he is survived by his loving daughter Heather, his brothers; Russ (Robin) Hanson of Hampton, Mark (Lori) Hanson of Martinon, his sisters; Kelly Hanson, Bobbi-Jo Hanson (Kevin), Kristy Hanson (Keith) all of Zealand, NB, his brother-in-law Ron (Sue) Cyr of Greenwood, NS, his sister-in-law Jackie Hanson of Saint John, very special friend Pam Painter and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his mother-in-law Glenna Colwell and his sister-in-law Jane Cyr.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424), Saint John, NB.  At Randy’s request there will be no visiting or funeral service.  Remembrances made to Bobby’s Hospice, Epilepsy Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society or the SPCA would be appreciated.
