Paul Henry Melanson

Sadly,  has passed away at the SJRH on August 9th, 2018. He was born on February 12, 1951; a son of the late John “Jack” Melanson and Pearl (Slaunwhite/Robicheau). Paul is survived by his wife, Mary Esther (Hyatt) Melanson, and son James Melanson (Genevieve Arda); sisters Josephine Sonier, Joan Smith, and Jeanette Newman; brother John Melanson, sisters-in-law Susan Hyatt (Colin Campbell) and Rachel Hyatt (Richard Thibeault), brother-in-law Roger Hyatt (Nancy), as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Paul was pre-deceased by his brothers Gerald “Jerry” Melanson, brothers-in-law William “Bill” Smith and Marvin Newman, and sister-in-law Donna Melanson. He was employed by the Canadian Coast Guard, and was an adherent of the Saint John First Wesleyan Church. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8. The funeral service will be held at the Saint John First Wesleyan Church, 399 Boars Head Road, on Monday at 1pm. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Saint John First Wesleyan Church, or the SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
