Patricia (Adams) Touchakis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Patricia (Adams) Touchakis on May 26, 2019 at her home. She was born in England on May 15, 1943 to the late William and Grace (Beckinsale) Adams and was the loving spouse to her late husband, Christopher Touchakis. 

Pat worked in various customer service fields over the years, from retail establishments to most recently over the phone with various companies.  She was a very friendly person.  She could walk into a room and adapt to the mood of it.  She quite enjoyed being the center of attention.  Pat was a distinctive woman, both classy and sassy.  She spoke her mind and made sure there wasn’t any confusion about it.  She was a woman of many hobbies; she liked to knit, sew, quilt, read, and play darts, bowl, and shop.  She was meticulous in everything she did.  Although she was born in England and moved around Canada quite a bit through her life, Saint John was her home.  She was a member of Legion Branch #2 on the West Side for many years.  She was a very family oriented woman who loved her children and grandchildren more than anything.  She was one in a million and will be deeply missed.

Pat is survived by her daughter Anita (Larry) Doyle, grandchildren, Denielle (Andy) and Timothy (Cara); 6 adored great grandchildren, Natisha, Lucas, Derek, Zachary, Gracelyn and Zayla; brothers, Billy (Joan) and Johnny, sister Jean (Allan) McLellan and sister-in-law Sandra Adams.  In addition to her parents and spouse, she was predeceased by her brother Norman and sister-in-law Dawn. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Friday, May 31 from 6-8pm. In keeping with Pat’s wishes, no funeral services will be held.  A private family graveside service will take place at a later date.   For those who wish, memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
